What is EMR ePrescribing?
EMR ePrescribing allows clinicians to securely send prescriptions, approve or deny prescription refill requests from within their EMR system via a connection to the Pharmacy Health Information Exchange™, operated by SureScripts®. This allows your clinic to reduce incoming calls and faxes, streamline prescription related tasks, and save time and resources.
The TechSource EMR ePrescribing is a SureScripts Certified Solution. This certification enables ePrescribing users to establish connectivity to the Pharmacy Health Information Exchange. With this connectivity, new prescriptions are delivered directly to the pharmacy’s computer and your practice can receive refill authorization requests from local pharmacies directly to your EMR. You will then be able to send your response (approval or denial) directly back to the pharmacy’s computer. All prescribing and refill activities are automatically documented within the EMR.
